Thanks, Cyndi, for taking us outside. I loved writing about nature. I was shocked at how easily it came out of me. I was amazed to realize how little we tend to observe unless it is pointed out to us. I am thinking about starting a poetry unit using your methods. Great job!
I really enjoy the teaching demos. It is a concrete way for us to learn and share with one another. I appreciate all the new, helpful information I can take back with me and adapt to my classroom.
Wow, I have to say that I love to see the teaching demos. Each and everyone of them have provided me with lessons that I can modify to teach 2nd or 3rd graders. It is amazing to see how others present lessons and engage the students. I have to say that I will definitely attempt to use these ideas in my upcoming school year (with a little modification). I have to say to all of you who have presented "You have done an excellent job!"
The teaching demos have been really good so far. Everyone is doing an incredible job. Everyone seems to be bringing something just a little bit different. I think that is great. The other thing that is cool is that we all teach this subject from different points of view. Meaning that some of us are High School, some of us are Middle School, while the rest are Elementary. This brings so many cool lessons. I just hope that I can bring a lesson that comes somewhat close what I have already seen.
I think I will be able to use Cindy's ideas in a variety of ways. I think it would be a great activity to use at the first of the year to get to know my students. I think by viewing the charts they make, I could get some valuable insight into what type of learner they are. I could see which sense they used the most. Are they auditory, textile, or visual. I think it would also be great for a method to use with math graphing. The students could graph the number of items they listed for each of the senses. I can see lots of ways yo use this. Thanks, Cyndi
Cindy your teaching demo was great. i l loved the fact that we got to go outside. I can adapt and use some of this with my first graders, it is a great way I thought to teach children about adjectives and nouns, not to mention all the neat things that you could do with writing. thanks!
Thanks Cyndi for the great lesson! My students love to do anything that involves getting out and enjoying the great outdoors. I also liked the idea of using our senses. We usually rely on one or more senses in our personal writings, but we need to practice using and developing our other senses.

All of the teaching demos have been great; they've all been different but have reflected the teachers' passions for their subject areas.
